Since loading SP2 I cannot open .PDF files from within IE6. When I open the
"manage add-ons" list  Adobe acobat control for activex is disabled. When I
select this item I dont get the option to enable. I get the message this item
is managed by your administrator? I am logged on ...

I find that large animated GIF's run very sluggishly, even after the
XP SP2 update.
It appears to be a software bug because you can restore smooth
playback by simply right-clicking the image and selecting "Properties"

Does anyone have info on disabling add-ons in Internet
Explorer 6 if you don't have service pack 2 installed. I
need to disable some add-ons but I am not ready to install

When I try to change the view of my toolbars via
  a) right clicking on the toolbars
  b) or going the View-->toolbars
all my options are greyed out except text labels.

Running I.E.6.0
Somehow someone hijacked my search engine.  Now when I click the search
button on the I.E. toolbar it goes to Shopnav.
How do I restore the default search engine?

The ISearch Tool bar has somehow been added to my
browser. (IE6).  I can not use the standand
enable/disable tool to turn that toolbar off.  
It eliminates the traditional address line for all

when i visited a site it infected my computer w/ spywear
(since been removed) when it did so it added folders to my
list of toolbars.  i have tryed to right click
and "costomize..."  but the folders do not show up. if you

I have the mysearchnow toolbar installed. Apparently this
is done by MSN plus. So I uninstalled MSN plus. But the
toolbar isn't removed. Toolbarcop does not show the
toolbar. How do I remove it?

I need some help.  How do I eliminate IE Search Toolbar
from the tool bar menu.  It is quite annoying to have up
there, and I can't find it anywhere to remove it.  Any
help would be appreciated.  I have tried Adware and it

Has anyone found a solution to this problem.  I looked at all the messages
that I could find in this newsgroup and tried to turn off Passive FTP - that
did not work for me.  I also put an exception for port 21 in the Windows
Firewall but that did not help either.

successfully but a very quick flash of what appears to be a modal dialog box
comes on the screen and appears to be hidden by the browser itself. After
