I have a problem that every time I right click on a link and attempt to open
that link in a new window a window comes up but does not open it just hangs
there and goes no further, I have tried many solutions but the only one that
works[temporarily] is to use system restore, this ...

Suddenly, whenever I try to open up an additional IE window, the IE window
that's currently open closes, only allowing one open IE window at a time.  
The only recent change I can think of is a new spyware program I downloaded.  
I used it to eliminate a group of tracking cookies ...

one day i was downloading mathematica file but by accident clicked off on
always open this file without asking tick.
now when ever i click on a link for a mathematica notebook, it will just
down and open it instead of askin gme if i wasnt to save it some place.

Since sp2 installed, whenever a lind is clicked(followed) it opens in a small
window and must be maximized to use.
Why?
How do I fix/change it?

I have a PC that i installed Win98SE on and then went on to install IE6.
This
PC is not on the internet and the only reason i need the IE6 was because i
have a HP Deskjet 3745 that needed a version of IE that was over version 5.

WHy every time I am trying to post I am getting an error message?

Had adware infestation some time ago which was cleared with Ad-aware SE Pro
and spybot  (and is kept clean) but IE6 always displays the above (+cannot
find server...etc) though the address line is OK. I cannot find any changed
settings unless it's a registry problem. Any ideas? ...

If I generate a popup window using a script in an htm file, where an
ONCLICK event pops up the window, if I specify RESIZABLE=NO, the
window closes automatically.  If I allow it to be resizable, it does

Can I change the search engine that is used when I type a search directly
into the URL bar?
If I go to Search->Customize->Autosearch Settings, all I have is MSN in the
list!

I have win2kpro and IE6 with latest updates. When I click to open IE, it
takes 25 seconds for the window to open. Does anyone know why this would be?

I have noticed recently on my XP machine that IEXPLORE.EXE will come up 20-30
times on my Processes list in the Task Manager. It used to only register once
at a time. This ahs to be slowing me down. Any ideas?
