hi
I have small network in my home 4 pc on as server , i use win xp pro , the
ip address dynamic ( not static ) & my problem is :
when i open internet explorer an message occures that say :
I.E Homepage10 Oct 2004 12:10 GMT2
I have internet Explorer 6. Since a few weeks everytime I
load up the I.E its homepage is
http://www.makemesearch.com/?said=131
I cannot get rid of it. Its so irriating. I have tried to

When I open IE 6.0, it opens and closes before it even
opens a website.  Other browsers work just fine.  I tried
installing XP-SP2, but that changed nothing.  Can't
uninstall and re-install, and the IE 6 browser on

I run a website which uses cookie authentication.
Over the past year, I have recieved numerous complaints from users who
cannot login to the site. They just get the login page over and over
again, as if we are not recieving the cookie.

get it back to where I want to go, it tells me the page is
unavailable.  I have to reboot to try to access the
internet.  I haven't read about any virus that is causing

The "Error Signature" provides the following information:
AppName:  iexplorer.exe

My browser don't keep the codification that I choose, and
it shows very small characters, impossible to be read.
Anyone have seen this before?

Suddenly, after using Favorites 20 minutes ago, they have disappeared.  My
main concern is what caused this?
I have found them in C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\ Favorites and I am
sure one of you can tell me how to get them back into the IE program !!  ??

My laptop has Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6.0. Pop
up ads keep popping up like crazy. I never had this
problem with Windows 95 and 98 or previous versions of
Internet Explorer. How do I stop them?

Hi. I just got a new GMail account but I can't access it via IE6. When I
attempt to open it, it shows Loading, then Done, but the screen remains
blank. I've tried Refreshing a few times to no avail. I can access the
account in Mozilla's FireFox but I use IE most often.

Whenever I click on a link to a .bat file, a window pops
up asking if I want to run or save the file. Is there any
way to diable that window, and just have the .bat file
run automatically when it's link is clicked?

of things removed was the security tab in Internet
Options in IE 6.  This was removed in Group Policy.
