i had downloaded avant browser and after a day of using it decided i did not

I am getting a new computer and have to back up data from my old one so I can
transfer to my new one.  How do I do this?  Also, how do I know what files
are data files and what files are others that don't need to be backed up.  I
am pretty computer illiterate, so please be gentle ...

Im having trouble accessing secure websites (all of a sudden).  Was working
well 3 days ago.  Main issue of concern is when i go to help, and about
internet explorer the version and cipher strength are blank.  there is also
no product ID or update version listed.

I try to connect to the internet and the status message in the status bar
flashes "badurl.grandstreetinteractive" and will not connect. Aol or any
other online programs will not work. I can see the connected icon at the
bottom of the screen.

Since last few days,  Searchforit.com  replaces my Home page
IE 6.  Even spyware have not helped.  How to get rid of it

When I attempt to go to some sites or from inside a site to another link I

When I drill down from a web address, a new blank window opens with nothing
in it. The only thing I can do at that point is close the window. I've looked
at all the tabs on internet options and checked off what I thought was
appropriate, but it didn't help.

How do I turn off the clicking sound effects that happen whenever I click a

I receive a pop-up error box every time I close my browser.  It says:
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 is not playing any animated .gif on any

I'm using IE6 at work, and am having trouble with my cache.  I have my
browser set to check for newer versions of a page on every visit.  But
even if I clear my cache and history files (as I do often), I will
often come across a page with the information from a previous visit.

Recently, every time I've tried to save an mp3 from the internet to my hard
drive by right clicking, it only gives me the option to save it as .mpga,
which won't play properly in any of my music programs. How do I change it so
that I can save the files as what they really are?
