I've noticed that IE6 on Windows Xp with SP2 sometimes closes the browser
window after the open/save dialogue.
The problem seems only to occur when using the header "Content-Disposition",
"attachment; filename=thefilename.txt" and when the browser window is a

Occasionally, when I try to visit certain web sites with my IE6 browser on a
Windows XP SP2 platform I would an "Application Error" window would say
something like:

My laptop is really messed up, I ran adaware this morning and it seems like
the main thing is "myway" but who knows. It seems to have uninstalled my
norton, and it won't let me install again. It also crashes my ICQ. I had the

When I create a new item to place on my desktop (using active desktop) the
dialogue box indicated that has been placed on the screen, however when you
look at the desktop there is nothing there.

even before i installed sp2 the internet explorer won't connect to the
internet. All other programs (mozilla browser, yahoo messenger, etc)
work just fine. The ping command resolves the internet addresses and
returns a response time of about 60ms.

This Virtumundo (malware) has resurfaced after going thru deletion
procession by using Ad-Aware SE. It's causing my Explorer instability. Any

On initial starup of ie 6 I have to wait about 20-30 seconds after I've hit
the address bar drop down button before it registers, then it works fine on
any other page.
I'm running XP SP2 and Norton system works 2003 pro...is it IE or NIS prob?

Since our upgrade to SP2 here at my place of work, there are a couple of
websites that either load and say done, but are blank....or they will just
sit there and try and load all day.  I know it is related to IE6 SP2 as our
machines with IE 6 SP1 will bring up the pages just fine ...

Recently I removed a bunch of spyware and reinstalled my Norton Antivirus
2005.  Now when I go into my "Internet Options" the Change Homepage field is
greyed out?
Any ideas?

My internet window (browser) constantly shuts down while I'm surfing on the
internet.  I get a message that related to wurldmedia, and to run an adware.  
i continue to run adware and that fixes the problem for a short time, but it
returns when i open a new window.   can anyone ...

This a problem with Following links on msn.com and coming up with the page ;
Object has moved here
It almost always happens when first opening my homepage each day. after that
it will go rifght to it. Following links on the page is a different story.
