If I don't have the Adobe Reader program open, then when I am browsing with
IE6 and come across a .pdf link, the file won't open.  An alert says that IE
can't find Adobe Reader.  I already have the option checked to make .pdf

For some reason, the "See Inside The Book" images at Amazon.com, and the
gallery pictures at The Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com) don't load for me
with IE6. I downloaded Netscape Navigator and these images load no problem.
Does anybody know what could be causing this, and how ...

What is the proceedure for securing and unsecuring my home page?
When I go to Internet Options, the selection to change my home page is
shaded so I don't have that option available.  Is there a setting somewhere
that I can change this?

I have got some type of adware that installed itself right in IE.  Everytime
I do a search, another site pops up called "enhancemysearch.com"
Also, certain keywords are highlighted on websites and emails, like "credit"

    Certain websites don't always fully load.  Sometimes a website will load
just the top graphic header, sometimes only a background will show up, and
sometimes most of the page will load with the exception of a few graphics.  
Then again, sometimes a page will load correctly.

I'm on XP pro, haven't installed SP2. I have IE 6.
The auto suggest/complete doesn't work on forms. Nothing is suggested.
I have all the correct boxes checked in tools/internet options/content
tab/auto complete. I also have use inline autocomplete checked on the

Cannot connect to internet.  When I attempt to connect, I receive an error
message stating that Explorer can not connect due to "(unknown)".  Explorer
then shuts down.

When using I.E. 6 it always opens in the bottom right hand corner of the
screen. Can not drag it to a new place on the screen. So if I want to see all
information in window I have to go to full screen all the time. I have back

When  I open the first time IExplorer, I get "Cannot Find Server or DNS
Error" after the second try, (5 seconds later) I am able to get my home page.
 My OS is WindowsXP Home Edition, I am using a router, and Local Area

Ever since Home XP SP2 was installed I ahve the following issues with my

Clicking the down arrow on the address bar (to go to a previously visited

Here's the basics:
I reloaded Windows XP Pro SP1, then performed a restore from a NetBackup
backup (also Windows XP Pro SP1).  Everything works correctly except access
to secure sites, i.e. bank sites, even when trying to bid on something on

I am on a cable modem and IE has suddenly slowed down. I
have run sypware & adware, have a firewall and as well
ran antivirus. Also defraged the hardrive. Called my ISP
and the modem speed is fine. I did have Firefox loaded
