I'm trying to find where I can change the volume of the sound for dialup-tone when I connecting to the internet via a modem. Wright now it make a high sound and I want to have no visual sound at all. Can anyone tell me where to change this?

I have removed Firefox as my prefered browser. I now find that any hyperlinks in word, excel or powerpoint etc are not working. I get an error message of "Unable to open, no programme is registered with this file" The links work from outlook only, please help!!

I upgraded my XP professional to SP2 and my internet explorer keeps searching and searching without any results. Pease let me know witch switch is off and do not refer to another website since I cannot surf the web. Ciao, Sam

I just started having a weird problem. If I click on a link in a message in Outlook or Outlook Express, it takes me right to the site. If I select a favorite from Favorites, it takes me right to the site. If I type a URL in the address bar, it takes 2 - 3 minutes to go to the ...

Can anyone tell me how to change the editor that is used for View Source? I've tried changing all of the editors on the Tools|Options|Programs tab, as well as the default Open With... program for .txt files on my machine, and IE still opens Notepad.exe when I choose to View Source.

The system that is having this problem is a windows XP pro, with SP2. It seems to all happen when sp2 came about. But when i click to email picture to my default mailing program which is outlook express 6 is give me this error "the current document type can not be sent as mail" ...

Even if I have an instance of IE minimized to the taskbar if I attempt to load a new site using a shortcut the page the shortcut loads will cause IE to be restored from the tasktray and the new site will load into the window and over-write that page I want to keep loaded.

I have a bunch of les than desirable pages which wil not clear from the Internet Explorer history. When I go Tools - Internet Options - Clear History, it clears out the normal pages but some seem to be permanently in there - how can I clear these off?
