Spontaneous popups in IE6 (continued)14 Nov 2004 21:35 GMT1
When I last visited this topic, my system was plagued with popups from a
variety of sources. I had installed Ad-Aware SE Plus, and it removed lots of
nasties every time I ran it, but the pop-ups continued. One expert explained
that I would have to run a battery of a half dozen or so ...

I just got 2 new computers, one with  with XP pro, the other with XP home.
Both have IE6. I want my Favorites to only show my favorites that has
recently been used. Instead they are all listed. They would be hiden behind
an arrow to point on and teh show up grayed out.

hey, im having issues trying to open emails in hotmail. it tells me that
there is a "Error On Page" message at the bottom of the window. I wasnt too
sure if it was a javascript error cause it seems to say that when the page
loads.

In my "Downloaded Program Files" folder there are several
ActiveX files, and the status of one of them
is "damaged." How do I fix this? I have Windows XP home,

Few weeks ago now that my browser is displaying the content in big fonts and
not formatted at all. Its strange becasue certain web site gets diplayed and
formated properly. Now event the microsoft home page and all of them gets
displayed with big fonts even if i did not change ...

Every time I try to open a pdf file i get the message: "your current security
settings prohibit running activex controls on this page. as a result, the
page may not display correctly." I have tried changing every setting i can
find for active x and i am still unable to open pdf ...

i'm using internet explorer 6 and i have java applets and java scripting
enabled, but i can't get to the WAP chat section of www.t-zones.co .uk. they
keep telling me that my browser doesn't support java applets or that i have

A pop up I want to see is somehow being blocked.
Before SP2 I had Google pop up blocker. Despite trying to allow pop ups at
the site I want to see, it still blocked them. I have removed it but still
can't see the pop up.
Update site says using non up to date browser and refers me to a M14 Nov 2004 16:47 GMT2
Every time I go to a wiondows update via IE 6 (with the latest SP and fixes)
says I'm using an unsupported browser !!! adn refers me to a windows MAC
update.
Running XP pro with SP2
