I’m running 98SE, Internet Explorer 6.0, and have Acrobat Reader 6.0
installed.  When trying to download a PDF file from the internet, I get an
error message that reads:
Security Warning

I have a problem with Internet explorer 6.
When running a search and I find a web site and start to dig down to the
third level I receive a microsoft trouble message "Internet explorer has
encountered

I am trying to upgrade a computer from IE5.5 to 6.0 but when I go to the
windows update page and try to download IE6 I get this message,  "Error
creating process <ie6wzd /s:

I am running 6.0.xxxx forsp2, but I have stayed away from XP SP2 until things
have settled down a little.
I am getting escalating symptoms that seem to be localised in IE and I would
like to ininstall, then re-install it.  Experience has shown me that this can

I cannot get on explorer, but Netscape is OK. Message reads cannot find
site, I am also getting messages in other programs stating msls31.dll is
missing. I have searched for dll in windows system and it is not there. How

After installing XP SP2 IE6 shuts down on start up.  The browser flasher on
the screen then disappears. No error message is given.  I can browse usin
Mozilla though.

I often backup my IE favorites file (bookmark.htm).   This overwrites older
files.
Many times I need to append to the latest file, rather than overwrite it.

I am trying to get rid of scumware..I have used Lavasoft/AdAware, NoAdaware,
SpyBot, HijackThis and McAfee Anti-Virus software..nothing.

i installed the following updates and now i can no longer drag and drop
shortcuts from one ie or oe window to another,or from OE6 to IE6.
Is there something i need to reset or do i have to uninstall one or more of
the updates? i can still drag them to create a shortcut on the ...

If I click on the internet icon, the eggtimer starts spinning then after
about ten seconds it disappears and ..... that's it! It is as if nothing has
happened.
I don't see a browser page or any indication that anything has happened.
Address bar does not show URL of hyperlink28 Nov 2004 20:48 GMT1
When I open a hyperlink by right-clicking the mouse to open in a NEW window,
the address bar does NOT show the URL of the new site.  In fact, the address
bar is "locked" so that I can't type anything in the address bar.
This doesn't happen if I just left-click on the hyperlink.  ...

I recently installed SP2 for Windows XP and now when I attempt to go to a web
page I have to type in http:// to get there, I can no longer type in
www.xxxxx.com. Does anyone know why or how I can fix this?

Win XP SP2 and IE6.  When I scroll inside IE6, I hear a muffled sound on my
speakers.  I couldn't find anything in the Knowledgebase.  Anyone know what
the problem is?

Every time I try to download from the net using IE6 and XP I get this error
message, "IE was unable to open this internet site. The requested site is
either unavailable or cannot be opened. Please try again later." This
happens every time, with a wide variety of sites. Any help ...

After opening up IE to my MSN home page and  clicking on one or more links or
even an ad display like JC Penny, the link is displayed as a minimized frame
bar in the upper portion of my screen and in the sys tray without the link
page being  displayed--- Does any one out there ...
