i have tried all the answers given, checked the registry shows the "yes" to
show status bar and show url in status bar and still no luck!! can anyone
help this is so frustrating,

After wishing I hadn't installed SP2, I am still trying to get everything to
work that should from SP2.

for some reason on only a few of my machine ie6 saves a certain cookie
corruptly, the problem is that when i used THAT website, it won't let me use
it properly, cause it doesn't keep my logged in (cause of the corrupt

Hi all! :-)  W2K SP4 - IE6 Sp1 - All updates are installed.
I am not sure if this is an IE or OE issue, or one related to W2K, so please

I would imagine this has been discussed often, I'm new to the group.  Could
anyone tell me why gif animations would stop within IE?  I have put in the
new Service Pack ... I don't think that was part of the problem, but do not

Help! Explorer is shutting down at about half of websites I try to visit.
There doesn't seem to be a pattern. I can get to some websites and not
others. I have no clue what the problem is. I just get the message: Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I have removed and reinstalled several times, but IE will not run.  After a
little bit, I go into the Windows Task Manager, and IExplore is not
responding.
Netscape runs fine.  I would really like to get back into IE.

I keep getting an error while in IE 6.0.  It reads: Instruction at
0x000000000 referenced number at 0x0000000000.  Memory could not read.
Does anyone know what this is or how to get rid of it?

I'm out of ideas on this one.  I'm trying to direct IE to get the
favorites icon and the root of my web site from the header of each
page.  It works on http but not on https.

Recently, don't recall when it started because I use different computers and
browsers, but IE on my laptop is showing all graphics and text at larger than

I recently "upgraded" one WinMe user from IE5.50 to IE6sp1 using Windows
