Have just set up broadband via a cable (not wireless) and find that I cannot get access to my ISP. On consultation with them they suggest that the settings for my IE/6 may be 'wrong'. Any suggestions

some websites do not open like www.microsoft.com, aol.com. Error: "This page will not load" from IE. Others like hp.com,google.com opens without any errors. Os: winxp home SP2, IE6 sp1.

I've turned off 'play animations' in Tools/Options/Advanced/ but some small animated gifs still play. Any ideas please?

I have read other peoples reply to this question. I cannot see any part of the address bar sticking out. When I right click on "view" "toolbars" all of the options are "greyed" except "text labels" which is checked. I have no option for "Unlock toolbars" that I can see. HELP!

I've just intalled SP2 on XP Home. IE6 doesn't open any PHP file from my local disk. Any ASP local files are opened in text mode. Before SP2 has been applied, I can open PHP & ASP files without problem. I think I missed something.

I'm running Win2K professional, and IE 6.0 I cannot access the favorites in IE. The menu item is there, but no shortcuts show, and I can't add favorites. Yet if I look in "Documents and settings" in the file system, the favorites folder is there.

I can not use this newgroup when using IE 6 on my computer. I have to use Netscape and then it works fine?
