How can I turn this feature off? If I have opted to download a file I really don't want IE to override. Clicking and selecting "Download" is getting old. I have reset any options I could find. What did I miss? rs

I am running Windoes XP 2 and IE6 with all of the updates. When I try to install a program directly from the site by selecting the "Run" option, I get a box saying "Internet Explorer-security warning.

If I try to send a link to a web site by email, Netscape starts up even though it is not configured as my default mail or web browser. In fact Groupwise is listed as my default email service in I.E. What's up with that? Roger M.

When i click a .pgn file in IE6 it opens it (as text). I want another program to open the file. .pgn was not in Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | File Types, so I made a new file type and associated it with the other program.

When I'm browsing normally, I can't go more than like 5-10 minutes before the browser just freezes up on me. I've tried clearing all my cookies and temp files. Any other ideas?

Big problem here, I have win xp home installed on my compaq computer, s4040se. internet explorer working good, but as soon I install SP2, IE opens, then inmediatly closes just before displaying the web site, i tried diferents web sites by default with same result.
