On a completely fresh install of Windows XP Pro and SP2 the address bar in IE6 is not working. When the browser is opened it automatically goes to the Home Page and links work but if I type an a web address the PC just sits there.

I installed SP2 and now I can't turn the @#$%!! pop up blocker off! According to the Tools menu - it's not on! It's still blocks downloads from a site that I had added to the Favored list among others. This is crap! I'm about to switch back to Netscape.

I have IE6 and XP SP2 on an XP machine I have turned block pop ups off, I have set the site into the allow sites option of the pop up blocker in IE6 I have disabled the Windows firewall, I have Norton internet security.

When launching my browser the IE search pane automatically shows up - there is something that is auto-selecting the search icon on the IE 6 toolbar. Closing it does not help - when I click to another web page it pops back up again.
