I have recently installed Service Pack 2 for Windows XP
but I'm having problems when I need to download a file
with Internet Explorer 6 in and ASP application.
The source code of my asp is like this:
BUG: content-disposition header + frame = browser close in IE6 SP216 Dec 2004 22:25 GMT1
Sending the "content-disposition: attachment; filename=filename" header to
any frame causes the browser window to shut down after the open/save dialog
closes when the browser is IE6 on Window XP SP2.
Other versions of IE are fine.  This has to be a bug.  I feel like SP2 was

Hi - I've tried everything to get rid of a toolbar that starts up when I go
into IE.  I've tried  http://lop.com/new_uninstall.exe and it does go away,
but it's back again when I reboot the machine!!!  I've tried countless free
pieces of software, and all the instructions listed ...

Without SP2 installed, browser works fine. Once
installed, cannot get online. Hardware all checks out OK
and disabled the Windows XP firewall, still will not

I have Windows XP and recently I instaled NEt Zero as my ISP. I wasn't happy
with it so I removed it and went to a cable provider. Now when i open my
Internet Explorer it works but I do not have any search area any longer as
before. Is there a way to turn on the searching in IE6 ...

My IE internet options only has 2 tabs. I looked at aprevious message that
suggested running thsi repairtabs thing and it seems to have made it worse.
now my home page is not set anymore and i can't see to set it.

When I change websites, IE is redirected to Address.com or to
PlanetFreeStuff.com.  I have to click on the "back" arrow in order to go to
the website I requested.

For some reason or another my entore internext explorer folder has been
deleted, i don'thave a copy of IE any where on my comp, don't ask me why, i
don't know.
So know i can't go to any sites taht require internet explorer.

i am having problems w/ i.e. 6. pages do nt fully open, search bar will not
do a search when you try to, very limited functions. i tried to repair it but
im prompted for the sp1 cd. i dont have that. is there any way 2 totally
uninstall & then reinstall? thanx
