In IE 6 SP1, with Q889293 installed, on W98 SE, clicking on a link that
requires a new window to open doesn't work. Explorer hangs for about 10 secs,
then just "forgets" about the click. This happens whether it's a link that
automatically opens a new window, or one explicitly ...

I am wondering if anyone ever done it before? I'm using Windows Server
2003 and would like to know how if there are major side effect that will

Please help, I have two machines that will not run windows update nor allow
the use of MSN Messenger, with windows update it returns an error message and
with MSN Messenger it says I am not connected to the internet, check your
settings, I have checked them all and they ok.

has anyone seen the new Mozilla FireFox internet portal software?  Do you
know what I mean by "tabbed viewing?"  It's a lot like an Excel workbook,
but only for IE, and it works really well.  However, most security software
out there only works with IE or netscape, not Mozilla, so ...

My work computer (win 98) will not load links.  I click on the link and a
window opens only partially, then the window freezes with no further loading.
I can type in the link in the address line and the page will load.  Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

On some sites when I try to access some links of it it locks up.
eg. 1.  www.yahoo.com (selecting the MAIl ICON)
2. www.bom.gov.au  (selecting the display for satelite images)
Is there a trace or some debug tool that I can use to see what the link is

I downloaded the IE6 SP1 and selected it for win 98. i want to burn it on CD
so that i can install it without having to download it every time. i butnt
it onto CD to install on a computer that only has the original win 98
version but it keeps wanting me to go online ot download it ...

I used to be able to set my text size ... and once I had done that I could
exit IE6 and reboot or do other things and come back and the text size would
remain the same.. however since I have upgraded to SP2 the text size no
longer remains and I have to reset it every time I exit ...

Is it possible to disable web page forwarding?  Is it possible to change a
registry key to do so?  I need to access windows update on a computer that
has been hijacked by spam.  With every attempt to load the page, I am
automatically forwarded.  I really do not wish to order a CD ...

My brother came over and used my computer last week and now my history is
wonky.  I have no idea why.
I have MSIE set to keep my history for 14 days, and it still does, sort of
... but not quite right.
