After applying the MS04-040 update to Win2000 & WinXP SP1 PCs, all IE
shortcuts on the desktop stopped working.  IE opens a blank page then
freezes.  Starting IE and typing the URL in the address pane manually works
fine.

Other than with the "accessibility" option to ignore web page colors,
is there any way to override the "force" of color scheme from a web
site?

I have XP Home and OE6, and on cable broadband.
My surfing of the Net is OK in terms of downloading web pages for viewing.
Downloads into OE Inbox are also OK. But when I try to download programs or
utilities etc, to save, its quite a slow speed. It starts at 20KB/sec and

  We are going to upgrade user system with XP Sp2 but MY Internet
application behaves very differently with sp2.
We have DHTML Menu which opens up as POPUP Menu same as IE File Menu.

Is there a fix for "IE has encountered a problem and needs to close" when

on a link within an e-mail it does not always open a new window.  I would
like to know if there is a another way I can insure it does open in another

Just came back from vacation and can't get into Explorer. Don't even know
what version I was using. Am in Windows 98 and all I get is the fatal error
message and I have to go to the vendor for help. How in the world do I
reload my Explorer????
