I can open .pdf files that are saved on my computer with Adobe Acrobat, but
when selecting a .pdf file off of a website, a white page is displayed, and
eventually it says, "program not responding". I've tried lowering the ratings
and security settings, but that has not worked. ...

I think that I have picked up some sort of bit of ad-aware or scum
ware.  The last time I did a restart I found a bunch of commercial
shortcuts on my desktop and now every time I run IE 6 I find words and
parts of words on the web pages I visit have become hyper links.

My system (Win98, IE6) had been able to download mpeg clips in
the background.  (With a progress window showing Estimated Time
Left, and that it was downloading to a Temporary Folder.)  When

This really weird problem started out of the blue.
If I connect to the Internet (broadband) and try to run IE 6.0, no

I have an IBM notebook running WinXP with IE6 (version 6.0.2800.1106).
The browser was working fine until recently, but now it has stopped
displaying any graphics in any website that I visit. In other words,

This only happens on my home page which is MSN.com. When I click on an item I
receive the error message "Object Moved". "The Document May Be Found Here". I
am running Windows XP Pro SP1. I have disabled Norton Anti Virus and Spam

my IE 6 seems to have been attacked by the mysearch parasite. it has a
search bar at the top which cannot be removed, and my homepage is set
to //mysearchnow.com. There is nothing related to 'mysearch' in my
add/remove programs list, and i have run both norton and adaware.

I don't get website sounds on at least one site. I do hear this site on
another computer. I'm assuming it is some option setting but can't figure
out which. My Multimedia setting are clicked off to play sounds, animation
and videos. What else could it be?

IE insist on opening PDF inside IE (not in a separate Adobe Reader
window). When I unchecked "Display in brower" in Adobe Reader there is
still no separate window, instead there is a "broken image" in IE :-(
