No matter what I've tried, when I have IE windows open, the left frame search window opens, with a google search window. How do I get rid of this as it cuts down my viewing area, and I just don't want it!! Thanks for your help

just upgraded to XP Home edition, and have lost my internet connection. I contacted Optimum Online and they said its my network adapter drivers not being recognized, but couldn't contact Netgear V4.0 and disk does not install when inserted in my drive. Help, please
