When I try to bring up a website I usually get a message that says "Hitbox

displayed" message or other error messages.  I can usually bring up my home
page (Comcast.net), and sometimes other sites.  Sometimes I ...

Copy filename22 Jan 2005 04:31 GMT3
Maybe I am missing something obvious, but can anyone tell me how I copy to
the clipboard, the filename of any file that I can see and select in the
right pane of a Windows Explorer display, so that I can subsequently paste
that filename into a document?
Links toolbar won't hold sequence22 Jan 2005 03:49 GMT5
Recently, the Links Toolbar began alphabetizing the entries in the folder
each time IE is launched.  Previously, it would hold the order of sequencing
as I had directed.  I change the sequencing so that the most used links are
displayed first on the toolbar.  What have I clicked ...
Simple question22 Jan 2005 03:37 GMT6
The IE site isn't user friendly, or I'm 'searching' with the wrong
words.     All I'd like to know is how to change which program is used
to open a site/photo when clicking on a link.   Photos are opening
with my Kodak EasyShare Software and I'd like to change that to a more
Cannot Launch EI in Multiple Processes Anymore22 Jan 2005 02:00 GMT6
Until recently - perhaps with the last update from MS - I could launch
multiple copies of IE so I could have multiple websites up for reference
while working.  Using IE 6.0 with Windows XP.
Now only one copy of IE will launch.  When one copy is running and I attempt
how to change download options?22 Jan 2005 01:54 GMT12
How can I reset IE's download options? For instance, when I click on a zip
file link on a page, it opens the file in WinZip. I want it to download the
file instead.
Yes, I know about right-clicking. That's not what I'm looking for.
Unwanted web page on start-up22 Jan 2005 00:34 GMT5
I use Windows XP & IE6.  I get an unwanted web page at start-up shortly after
the desktop appears.  I've tried deleting cookies, etc., and checking the
homepage designation, etc., and could really use some assistance.  Thanks
very much.
Right-click problems?21 Jan 2005 23:44 GMT3
I was trying to copy an email address from IE6. So, as usual, I
highlighted, right clicked, and noticed that in the menu that pops up,
the option that once read 'Delete' now reads 'Power Search.'
If anyone's interested, here's what I see with something highlighted
Google has Taken over my IE 621 Jan 2005 23:42 GMT3
Running Win XP with all upgrades.
Somehow Google has removed all the bars in I.E. 6.0.
Now all I have is a Google search bar with 'no' other bars.
Please advise me on how to return I.E. to normal.
Empty when closed sometimes fails21 Jan 2005 23:26 GMT1
I have chosen to have IE6 "empty temporary internet files folder when browser is
closed". (from advanced menu) Usually this works but sometimes doesn't. When it
doesn't the cached files stay even when I re-open IE6 and close it again. This
seems to happen when I open multiple ...
