(XP Home -AMD Athlone XP2200 - 512 MB Ram. ) "Not Prompted to Disconnect After You Quit Internet Explorer" I have been through some of the suggested remedies for this problem i.e :- Tools/InternetOptions/Connections/and ticked the relevant boxes. No result.

All of a sudden, IE6 (fully up to dt mtce wise) fails to execute ActiveX script. I have tried to un-install/re-install, but uninstall fails half way through and re-install takes me all the way back to where I was, but still no ActiveX.

this morning I went on a website and clicked someting a bit suspect knowing i had upto date anti virus running. since that point i can no longer get on any website through IE6 I can ftp and ping and collect and send mail and even surf with mozilla

I cannot get to safe mode when I hold the control key down while booting, tapping the F8 key, or doing a combination of both. Is there a way I can correct this. Thanks

IE 6 is launching very slowly -- maybe 30-45 secs. It used to be much faster. Suggestions for fix welcome.
