Is there a way to disable the history, or record, of what is typed in a browser window? When I start to type a name in google or yahoo or whatever, a list of all the names typed previously comes up. What is the purpose of this, and can it be disabled, or turned off?

New PC. Windows XP. I make a change to Version I of my web page, creating Version II. I FTP Version II to the server. I use a PC at the public library and I see Version II. I use my neighbors PC and I see Version II.

When I open IE6 browser, I get message that "cannot find page." I later uninstalled the IE6 browser, and reinstalled it by upgrading from the original IE5. However, neither of these two browsers can open any website.

Everytime I enter a url in the address bar IE6 always comes back replacing my url with http:/// (and nothing after it) and then says "The page cannot be displayed" in the browser page area. I am running XP SP2 (with hotfixes up to Q819696)
