after i got hit by TROJAN, i manage to repair it with win2k cd. but after the files assoicated with TROJAN are deleted, whenever i click on internet explorer, just right before the page load up, a small pop up saying "Windows Installer....Preparing to install" ... then the page ...

I am running IE6 on Windows XP Home. I keep losing the address bar but can normally regain it by again ticking on the ADDRESS BAR column in the VIEW menu and dragging the bar down. Recently I also ticked the LOCK TOOLBAR tab in addition to the address bar

Logging into eBay, I now get a dialog that says "Security Alert" and something about a problem with the site's security certificate. I have to click "Yes" to proceed about 6-7 times. What got messed up and how do I fix it please?

I have tried to search for an answer on other sites too see if there was a common solution. I have found some answsers but they did not apply to me. Both the "open win.exp. and go to folder option" and "check status bar, lock toolbar, and then close-x ect" techniques DID NOT WORK ...

Some pop-ups have it and the normal window explorer has it, but the internet explorer does not have it checked and keep it checked the next time i open. ive tried locking the toolbars, the ctrl and X (close) out method, and even going into the reg. to edit the "show status bar" ...

Recently did a complete reinstall. Now most web pages do not load full with as they did before reinstall. There is a right side margin of about 1/4 page and graphics always seem to load smaller. Can i restore it to the way it was before. Thanks for any help.

On my old pc, when I typed a web address into the address bar, I typed "www.microsoft.com" and the browser would autofill the http://. When I got my new pc, I have to type this manually. Dell can't figure it out and it is about to drive me crazy. Any thoughts would be welcome.
