Hello everyone.  Been having mixed results with the new spyware tool
from MS.  I do understand it is still in beta and my post is not a knock
at it.  Overall I am happy.  What is bugging me is a reoccurring issue
and the spyware tool has not been able to cure, just identify this

I used to have a lot of colorful unique shortcut icons with my favorites in
IE6 (XP Home SP2), but after a recent reinstallation of my op system they do
not appear. Almost everything now has the little default blue IE icon. That
makes a very bland-looking favorites list! Offhand ...

comes up in IE's address field when a URL doesn't exist?  I have set IE's
option not to search from the address bar (which I think is a very

i recently installed new printer software for an hp 2710.
my win xp, ie 6 sp 2 worked fine before but now:
when i type in the toolbar, and this goes for any address:  www.google.com
it take approx. 3-4 min to go to the page

Since yesterday, the Internet History stopped recording.  I set the number of

When openning a new window from the file menu IE always goes to the same site
as in the original window. It basically makes a duplicate window. This is

I/E does not run local html files containing JavaScript.
