Running IE6 XP SP2.
Browser is way too slow in comparison with Firefox or Mozilla/Netscape.
My major problem I am having is when pressing the Back button to return onto
a "longish" page. The browser just takes so long to return to the previous

Since installing new PC running XP SP2 and IE6 some WEB sites do not display
pictures just placeholders with RED Xs.
Also Hover Buttons created with Frontpage 2000 display as small boxes with
the RED X and they cannot be used.

This has been a frustrating problem that no one seems to be able to solve.  
This is NOT a password issue.  It happened right after I was hooked up to
Comcast Cable Internet.  
When I go to content advisor to block/or add a site there is a PERMANENT

When I click a link and a external window pops up in IE sometimes that window
will just sit there and not display any info (locks up from this point).
Sometimes I can just close IE completely and just restart and it works for a
few more minutes.  Othertimes I can't close this ...

We are working on my dad's computer that has Windows 98se with IE6. After
installing a critical update on his computer for IE6 he cannot get on some
web sites. He cannot access Windows update or any part of Microsoft that has

Yesterday when starting I.E.6 the page starts to load then I get the
classical IE encountered errors and must close, or a popup runtime error.
I have reinstalled the latest version of I.E.6 but same problem.

Now that I have tried Firefox, lost the initial attraction, and uninstalled
it, how do I get rid of its after-effects? If I click on a hot link in an
eMail, this action tries running Firefox.exe even though this file is NOT
anywhere on my hard drive and IE 6.0 is my default browser.

We have 3 computers networked at work.  The main computer allows you to get
into any site, but the other 2 will not when entering a password.  I have

Hi, using WinXPSP2home, IE6.0.2900.2180.
Internet options gives only two tabs.  Programs and Privacy.  Thr Programs
tab works properly.  The Privacy tab has the cookie slider and five buttons.
Default is greyed out.  Sites and Advanced are clickable but do nothing.
