Since installing new PC running XP SP2 and IE6 some WEB sites do not display pictures just placeholders with RED Xs. Also Hover Buttons created with Frontpage 2000 display as small boxes with the RED X and they cannot be used.

Yesterday when starting I.E.6 the page starts to load then I get the classical IE encountered errors and must close, or a popup runtime error. I have reinstalled the latest version of I.E.6 but same problem. I downloaded an installed Firefox 1.0 and can run that without problems ?

Now that I have tried Firefox, lost the initial attraction, and uninstalled it, how do I get rid of its after-effects? If I click on a hot link in an eMail, this action tries running Firefox.exe even though this file is NOT anywhere on my hard drive and IE 6.0 is my default browser.

Hi, using WinXPSP2home, IE6.0.2900.2180. Internet options gives only two tabs. Programs and Privacy. Thr Programs tab works properly. The Privacy tab has the cookie slider and five buttons. Default is greyed out. Sites and Advanced are clickable but do nothing.
