The "Dial-up Connection" box pops up automatically.  This happens at startup
and when I return from being on standby.  How do I get this to stop?

I installed and quickly uninstalled Firefox after Firefox started f'ing with
my shutdown and freezing my computer up, etc.
Anyway, its residue still remains.  When I save URL's by dragging and

Problem:
We want to develop a JSP which will be a generic file downloader,
handling Word, Excel, PDF, etc.  When we try to display a PDF file via

I run IE 6.0 Service pack 2. There are times while i am working in IE it just
shuts down, no warning, no error message nothing. I have run a full virus
check and also a spyware check and i am ok there.

On different days I find that some sites don't work for me and then on other
days they do.
I have checked the same sites on another PC and found them working all the
time!

This is a U.S. Govt. site and the maps do not display
for at least a week. An alternate site has the same
problem.

IE6 User32.dll error in XP SP217 Feb 2005 03:11 GMT1
A friend of mine tried to install the XP SP2 by way of download.  Now I
6 will not open and reports and error in the user32.dll.  First I trie
to back the problem out by way of a restore point.. no luck.  Then
got the IE6 setup file and tired to execute it and got the same error.

my father just informed me that his internet would take quite a while to load

Can anyone help with this problem?  I am certain this problem has arrisen

  My problem is that when I'm in IE 6.0 (Win XP SP 2) and I click on a zip
file with the intent of downloading it the damn file opens instead(in WinZip
9.0). When I click on the zip file I want it to download rather than open.
How can I go about getting IE 6.0 to download rather ...
