Disappearing Icons of aLL Favorites (not one favicon)08 Feb 2005 19:41 GMT1
I have the following problem over here: if I open my list of favorites
(internet explorer 6/sp2, xp home/sp2), I cannot see the typical blue
explorer icon or any previously saved favicon next to the listed links. That
happes in 98% of all cases - rarely I can see the correct ...

I don't know when this started (quite a while ago, though), but I can't sign
in to any .NET Passport enable site.  
Specfically, I get the following message after entering my passport login
and password.

Using XP Pro. Cleaned pop ups with Adware now IE won't open at all. keeps
sending an error message to microsoft. Do I need to re-install to get it to
work and if so how? Are the Adware software a help or a hindrance?

Does IE6 have an autofill feature that will let me autofill Username and
Password when webpages calls for them?  If not, does anybody know of another
way?

Is it possible to disable warning messages when trying to run scripts through
IE6. The scripts are located on our intranet servers and we use our own DNS.
Through GPO we have some of the users software accessible through IE
favorites but it prompts with a security warning once ...

My MSN folder in the programs directory is using 14 Gb of hard drive space!  
Why so much space?  I am using windows XP home edition, MSN 8, and Internet
Explorer 6.
There are many hidden files named "Msncorefiles.promo" which use 79 Mb each

I have been having problems with IE6 ever since I installed SP2. It is
always the same problems, which are:
(1) When reading email off the AOL website, I cannot click on any links in
the email, or download attachments. If I try to, IE crashes

I recently noticed that when I open the task manager there are multiple
iexplore.exe open.
Two, three, but not a problem. However during the use of my computer, it
suddenly slows down to a halt.

with my browser (IE6, Sp2) on port 8780 for display of its content but
the browser says 'This page cannot be displayed' while the address bar
reads http://localhost:8780/index.html
