I have internet connectivity since MSN messenger signs in, but can not get IE
to give me anything but default webpage cannot be found message. All setting
seem to be correct. Of note on this machine AVG anti-virus removed 6 virusses
just prior to this occuring. The web was fine ...

Okay when IE first starts, but gradually worsens till wait time gets to 4 -

I tried everything that zee suggested on the next page down. In some of the
programs I can see that it was remmoved, but it keeps coming back.

Running IE6 on XP Home with SP2. Windows firewall only. Norton AV.
This is a dial connection.
Once dialled, IE6 browses to various websites for approximately 5 minutes
and then gives 'site unavailable' to any further attempts.

I cannot open or download PDF files using Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2.
If I click in a link with this type of file, IE shows a red X, the upper
left corner.

When I click on some of my icons such as my email in the top bar of my IE
browser, the drop down box doesn't come up.  If I take the mouse pointer and

Recently I haven't been able to View Source code when right clicking on the
web page. I checked the Registry and found the settings and folders in the
Default HTML Editor to be different than my laptop (which has no problem with
View Source).

I can not open anything in c: because I got a message that it says "microsoft
internet explore has encounter a problem and needs to closed"  and the report
