Just wondered if a program called calc.exe should be in internet explorer
folder.
It is not the same as the calculator accessory.
I only noticed this program when it showed an error. When it shows an error

When clicking on the Search button on the toolbar, the search window pops up
but it's blank. Clicking on New does nothing. Clicking on Custom brings up
an IE Script Error box:
An error has occurred in the script on this page

When I click on a PDF in IE6, it automatically opens in Acrobat 7. I want it
to ask to be downloaded instead of opening automatically. I tried unchecking
the "Display in browser" option in Acrobat, which worked for previous
versions of Acrobat, but not 7.0. Any suggestions?

How do I:-
1. Switch off Macromedia Flash (but not permanently);
2. Open new browser windows automatically maximised;
3. Lock the "Favorites" menu item so my kids can't move things around.

I would like to ask you a question about IE.. I can find almost

When I click on a llink in my browser nothing happens.
So I opened the task manager to see if what I could see and discovered that
every link I clicked on did, in fact, open a new browser window.  But the
window doesn't appear on my desktop and an icon for the window doesn't

New problem, when a Standard Toolbar Button is selected (Favorites; Search;
History) it will normally stand open on the leftside of of the window.  Now
whenever the selected option (new website in Favorites for example) opens or
refreshes the selected standard button deselects ...

Input a URL like "rtsp://******.rmvb" in the address box of IE, The IE auto
translate to "res://******.rmvb"
The RealPlayer is already installed, and the RTSP protocol was registered on

I am trying to set up a trusted site within IE 6 but the option to add a site
has been greyed out along with the option to change my security settings..  I
have logged into the machine as the local admin.  Does this mean that a local

After repairing an installation with win xp home, my IE locks up when I go
to windows update.  I tried using mozilla but the website says I need to be
running IE.  Please help me!  I can browse the internet without any other
lockups...JUST with Windows update.

The seach companion search window comes back with an error message that it

When I go to a particular website, I get a message that says "Your browser
does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display
inline frames."  I have seen the post from October 4, 2004, saying to go to
internet tools, and so on, but I can't find anything in ...

Up until a few days ago IE would save a file with the specific name that was
specified by the site ex.( pic2.jpg), but now it seems that everytime i try
to save an image to my hardrive, IE always sets it up as untitled.bmp.  How
can i bring it back to the old settings?

usually I can save an html page as a single .MHT file, but sometimes it
doesnt' work (error while saving page or _crash_ , tried in ie6 in xp)
