I'm trying to acces my bank details on a new computer running XP.  After
typing in passwords etc I reach te page where the details should be and it's
blank, with a red cross in a small white box top left.  Other bank and
password protected sites seem OK..

IE is giving the following problems:
1. Whenever I click a link, it is reloading the same page instead of taking
me to the page i clicked.
2. When I clcik this HP Support website, it says it needs ActiveX controls,

How do I Decode  .exe files ?  Can  I buy codecs over the counter ? I only
seem to  decode .wmv files.
Have been trying to  decode .mpeg, avi, and  others  except  .wmv  files
since  I purchased my home PC in  Sept'98.

I have recently installed a Wandoo Wireless Broadband connection (using
Wanadoo's Livebox).  I am able to access the internet as normal form my User
account however not connection can be established when I try from any of the

I can not view source of any HTTPS site I visit; I can view source on HTTP. I
viewed other threads and did all the usual stuff of emptying TIFs,
short-cuts, paths, etc.
But it works fine if I am on any HTTP site (including this one). But if I go

Hi all. I noticed the links folder always appear in my favorites of my IE6.
If i delete it, it would reappear again. How can i remove the links folder
permanently? Thks in advance.

I run XP home, sp2  with IE 6 , when i do a search in google, results come up
quick but when I right click to open a page in a new window, IE 6 stops
responding , mouse changes into a hand with pointed finger and I need to
close IE6.

Hi there. When i open my home page (MSN) some of the small advertising boxes
do not open up. I just get a message saying Explorer was unable to link to
the Web page.The page might be temporarily unavailable etc, etc.  Also on
some other pages the small advertising boxes are blank ...

Hello, anytime I try to do this with IE 6.0, my computer freezes for a
while and then comes back to the original page. I tried rebooting and

Running Windows XP--updates are set to automatic--
can get to the site for updates but my ie just sits there and does nothing.
Won't give me the option to install the ms engine at all. Where else can I
get the updates from manually??

Does anybody know of any other browsers that are more customizable than IE.
I am trying to lock down the brwosers from workers who only need basic
functonality. For example, bac, forward, print, etc.

I have a few sites I visit that require a username and password.  In the
past, I have told IE not to save my password, but now I'd like IE to
remember some of those passwords.  I can't figure out how to get IE to
prompt me to save passwords again.  I must have clicked "don't ask ...
