In the last one week or so...when i try to open a link in the same window or in a new windows, IE freezes. Not always but quite frequently. I then go to the task manager to end task. And then all the open windows of IE closes down! ANybody have any idea why this is happening?

During the installation of IE6 an error occured that causes problems with updates or re-installations. I cannot uninstall IE6 and all attempts to re-install shown an error message indicating that the Installation is waiting for a reboot to complete.

I have been using Windows XP SP2 for some time. Since only recently, while in Internet Explorer (IE), when I click on a link that would normally open a new window, IE freezes for a moment (1 to 2 minutes) and after a while it simply comes back to the initial page.

I am not sure if this has been posted earlier or if the IE team is working on it. There are many download managers available right now but i think IE should come up with its own download manager than the present facility. Just my humble opinion!
