I recently installed internet explorer 6.0 with sp1. After a rebot I lost
all my file associations. Any idea on how to get windows back to its
originall state of recoginizing file extentions again.

Basically, overnight IE 6.0 stopped working on my personal pc (Windows ME).  
The top blue bar is the only thing coming up.   So, I can't  access anything

I am using XP -2 with IE 6.  When I click on a link to go forward I
get a red circle with a red line through it and stay on the previous
page.  If I try again to go to the link the same thing happens.  It
also happens with other links.

I am using IE 6 with SP 2.  I keep getting messages when I click links from
to some webpages that The Page Cannot be Displayed.  The following is

Have IE6 with sp2. When I go to download a file ext pdf all I get is a blank
page with the red x in a box in upper left corner. Zip . rar or any other
type of file is no problem.The problem ( I think ) started after sp2 was

I'm looking for a way have IE start with a locally cached page of our
intranet when not the uesr is not connected to our network.  Since users'
homepage is an intranet page, they get the "page cannot be displayed"
screen.

How do I delete the old login names from the "pop-up" login box that appears

Our intranet has a particular word doc (out of thousands) that refuses to
be opened when requested directly - i.e. the URL is pasted to the browser
from its link within the 'menu' pages
However, clicking the link on the menu page gets it to open perfectly....

Imagine a e-commerce site which handles payment through a

Bit of a strange one. Opening web pages gives a blank screen, although I can
see the site being resolved and the download bar going through the motions.
No errors given.
Looking under the "View" menu, "Text size" has no bullet against any of the

Most of the time, I do not get a message window when I click "New".  A "New
Question" window does not open.  Instead of a neat, clean window, I get a
listing of old postings, and replies -- if any.  I am a recent "upgrader"
from Windows 98SE to Windows XP Home Version, and the CD ...

I discovered this handy little toolbar quite in error and now rely on it
heavily, but what I would like to know is how to make any link I click open
in a new window and NOT in the existing one. one of the links I use does it
automatically. I can see the difference in syntax but ...
