I have been experiencing difficulties whenever I try to download files from
internet sites using IE 6.0. My OS Windows XP Professional & Ihave installed
SP2. The download does not start at all: after some time, I get a message
"Internet Explorer cannot download *.exe from *.com. ...

I am using Windows XP Home SP2.  I tried what was suggested in the MS
article http://support.microsoft.com/?id=251787
but ran into a problem that the "pstores.exe" file did not exist anywhere on
my computer.   As a result I do not know a method to get the correct

I have a friend who just bought the "whole" McAfee anti-virus, etc., and he
seems to think that it includes anti-spyware.  Does anyone know if that is
correct?  I'm thinking it does NOT include anti-spyware, and that he needs
to get another anti-spyware.

When prompted for a user-id and password on a web site using IE 6.0 and
Windows XP Pro, I am presented with a check-off box to save the values.
However, under Windows XP Home, no such check-off box exists. Does anybody

The tweak really does work, at least for subjective speed. It seems that an

I use IE6 under WINDOWS XP SR2.
When I type in a form field an @, everyting in the page gets cleared. When I
copy the @ nothing happens.
