my IE works fine, but since some time the title bar shows only odd
characters. It looks like the characters (including the "Internet Explorer"
string) would be interpreted as being in a different encoding than they are
-- a number of characters show up as not present in the font ...

Can anyone tell me how to bring my URL bar in I.E.?
It is gone and nothing seems to bring it back, I have tried all the
options I could think of, I don't know why it's gone in the first
place.

Each time I open the web page www.msn.com the computer upload the entire page
and then shuts down IE prompting an unrecoverable error.
No other websites cause this problem.

A friend has Win98; I.E. 6.0.  The Modem Display Status icon does not show
in the Taskbar when he is online.  In My Computer - Dial Up Networking -
(ISP) - Properties - Configure - Options, the box IS checked for Display
