Everytime I double click on Internet Explorer, it tries to connect and after it connects and trys to go to the default home page. I get an errror message that says an error as occured and Internet Explorer needs to be shut down.

On my Win XP SP2 system, all hyperlinks in the mail viewed in Outlook Express 6 are non-functional, rolling mouse over the hyperlink shows 'about:blank'. Kindly advise, how to fix this.

In the processes of de-spywaring my machine. I inadvertently must have deleted IE6. There is no exe for internet explorer anymore. But, when I download and attempt to install IE6 service pack1, it tells me there is a newer version and it can't install.
