We are storing a file locally in clients machine, it fails because file size
is greater than the default size(for trusted site). So, we changed the size
in registry at HKEY_LM\SOFTWARE\POLICIES\MS\POLICIES\IE\2. But still we are
not able to save it. Are we missing something, what ...

I just installed Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (890923),
now when I try to open a file from my Extranet a new window opens (it will
not close on its own & it remains blank) the file will not open there, it
opens via the associated program, i.e. Word, Adobe, ...

I have found that for some reason, links don't seem to open in Internet
Explorer. Most of the time it is with links that have to do with javascript,
but it can sometimes happen when a link just goes to another site. I will

This is a second attempt to get help from this newsgroup. Previous single reply
did not assist me.
I'm hoping some of you folks will be able to help me.  Each time I open IE and

I just did a complete reformat/reinstall of Windows XP Pro and have all

My team has created a proxy to implement Single sign on.
When I point my IE  browser at it The proxy performs as expected, but the
data it sends back to the browser causes it to pop up the file save dialog as
if it doesn't recognize the file as content type=text/html.

their are options to add some icons allready provided in IE to the toolbar.

Windows SP2 patch / upgrade does not fix it. Anyone got any ideas

Suddenly finding IE 6 unresponsive in some ways, in some browser
sessions:
* Session doesn't close when I click X in upper right corner
* No response to Control-L

I have XP/IE6 on this machine. Many times, such as when I am responding to
this forum, I type the answer, click *Post* and after a bit of a struggle it
cancels out. Argh! Why? What should I test? I just deleted the Temp files,
and it still showed this nasty behavior.

When I open IE 6 and while it is running I get 2 security warning messages.
They say that "The current web page is trying to open a site on the
internet......." The Current site is ad.doubleclick.net and the Internet site
is: C:WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll.  I have run 5 or 6 ...
