I have a new Toshiba laptop, running Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6. Microsoft Firewall and Norton Antivirus are both enabled. I've run Ad-aware, Spybot and Microsoft Update. All are up to date and the computer is clean.

This is new to me. All of a sudden, IE won't open a new window, even if you want it to. That is, I right click on a link and choose "Open in New Window", yet IE just gives me the link in the window I'm browsing. Even if I Cntl-N, it won't give me a new window. What gives? Can ...

Earlier today I installed WhatEverItWas that Windows Update wanted installed (WinPro 2K). IE 6 now seems to be basically broken. I haven't found any complex webpage that renders properly (the MS support webpages are pretty useless when viewed with IE).
