What is the difference between forcing the browser to refresh using
CTRL-refresh and SHIFT-refresh?

There are some web sites I visit that I do not want them to gather personal
info like the web site I came from just prior to theirs.  While I could copy
the URL and make a short cut to it - this becomes tedious and prone to
forgetting.

In all my previous version of Internet explorer ctrl click opened a
hyperlink in a new window.  Now, with a new computer with windows xp,
internet explorer does not respond to this shortcut while windows folders do.

I am running both IE and Firefox on my PC but they keep shutting down at what
seem to be random times.
I have sent an error report to MS and they advised me turn off the 3rd party
browser extensions (which I have done) but nothing has changed.

some websites have small javascript functions which stop the browser back
button from working. So if I click my way on to such a website I can't go
back again.
I think this is really annoying.

hi. here's the deal: while the ie window does not open, iexplore does show
up in tasks. no
suspicious tasks running. BUT, if i open windows explorer and type in an
addy, it switches over to ie and then runs fine.
