I recently removed/repaired a virus/trojan (or so I thought). I currently am not able to use Internet Explorer for online access (this page cannot be displayed pops up), however I can use Netscape and access Outlook Express without problem. Help.

There are a couple of items in the "tools" menu (from the top toolbar) that I'd like to delete. I tried going into the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions .....but the items are in code (long numbers and letters) so I don't know what I'd be

I ran an online virus check from Trend Micro (took about an hour) after rebooting I could no lon ger get into IE. I truly have NO mal-spy-adware, no viruses (I am using norton, mcafee and penquin). The following message appears.

I have a Windows XP SP2 box and every time it starts up, IE launches automatically. I already checked the Startup folder for the user profile & all profiles and there is no IE entry.

I read all the posts but, my IE 6.0 sp2 and netscape 8.0 are runnning very very slow, 20 seconds to open a page compared to 1 sec. on other users pcs, my systems is very clean, recently got infected with virus and i cleaned it.... any ideas?
