I have IE6/SP1 installed on a W2K/SP4 machine and IE has just stopped working for some reason. When you start IE iexplore.exe briefly appears in task manager and then disappears. No error messages appear on the screen or in the event log.

I recently installed a new hard drive and did a fresh install if Windows XP-pro Sp2 and Office 2003. However, I noted that Microsoft Photo Editor was no longer available so I put my old Office 97 CD in and installed Photo Editor.

I have not been able to display maps and/or charts on websites (Yahoo Finance for example). It seems that the extensions are a .png. My settings are fine (according to my Microsoft rep), but we are at a loss. Any ideas what I can try?
