I don't know if I envountered a virus but certain web pages no longer are
able to load on my system.  Common pages such as hotmail google, etc... I did
a fulll system scan and it said that It foudn several infected files I
deleted them all but problem still exists

I think this issue might have to do with one of those great microsoft
security updates, but for the life of me, I have not been able to decipher
how to simply go back to the old keying format where I all had to do was type
the URL w/o the HTTP or HTTPS protocol in the address.

Internet explorer hangs when I access my web site that I have created using
ASP.NET
There is no predictable behavior/ pattern for the browser to hang.
The application uses Server.Transfer to transfer from one page to another.

i had to do a system recovery nondestructive and now i noticed that the icon
that used to appear in the taskbar when i received mail in outlook is not
