Suddenly, IE6 stopped working.  Error is "Cannot find Server" whether
default home page is "msn" or "microsoft".
Before then, I have test driven  a kind of proxy program.  That could be the
problem.  So I uninstalled the proxy program and also system restored to the

I have Win2K IE6 and firefox
I want IE6 to be default browser, but firefox continues to hold that spot
I have ensured in the "Tools" settings in firefox it is not marked as check for default browser and DO have it checked in IE6

If I try to access the free games on Optimum online, or try to access the
internet from my family tree the internet explorer closes.  It begins to load
the game or the page, then abruptly shuts down.  I have a brand new (one week
old) HP Pavilion  A1034N.  I am running Windows XP ...

A friend cannot connect to a website.  I tried other websites and they would

I've deleted a program using the "Add/Delete" feature in Control Panel...I've
searched for the program after and it's not there..BUT  it still is listed on
my Control Panel list...how do I remove the name...it also still lists the
approx. size of file.  I'm running WinXP

I know there is somewhere to set that when I click on a URL it opens in a
new browser window, but I don't recall where that is, and for some reason,
it's not opening in a new window any more.

I am not sure what the proper term is for my topic. Sometimes when I am on a
web page, a new window opens when I click the hand. It is not a new website,
but a - link?, internal window?, secondary window? - I don't know what to
call it.
