Having problems with just 1 or 2 websites where a new window opens asking for login info. The drop down list seems to store random email addresses inputted to other sites, but not the usernames and passwords for the site I am looking at.

after applying all updates and re-installing IE 6, I still have fonts that are non-standard on any basic web page, including Microsoft.com or MSN.com. Also, the background color is solid white, no standar 'blue' windows color. Can anyone suggest where I might look to fix this ...

I am using Windows XP SP2 with IE 6 SP1. If I login as USER1 and open an IE browser, I get 'about:blank - Microsoft Internet Explorer' in Applications tab of Windows Task Manager. But, there is no process is shown as 'iexplore.exe' in Processes tab.

I have modified the shdoclc.dll to put my own "dnserror" page. I put the new dll to c:\windows\system32\ folder, I restart my computer and my dll was replaced by the original. I think it's a problem with File protection.

My daughter is using AIM on an ME computer, and, recently, every single time anyone sends her an instant message, she gets a dialog box that says "Your current security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this page, As a result, the page may not display correctly."
