When I surf the internet (yahoo) if i hit the home icon (button) i get the
dns error but if i type in the site I want it has no problems wehats going on
here

All of a sudden the address bar (where you type the URL)
is gone.  I have tried everything I can think of to get
it back. I can't seem to figure it out.

Hey all, i had reinstall windows xp, now when i go to my home page and click
or try to open a new window it opens up small, i tried to maximise it by
stecthing it out but that did not work.  Any answers will be appreciated.

I've got a WinXP Pro SP2 with IE 6.0 SP1 machine that I have been using for
several years.  Everything works great on the machine for me and I haven't
had any problems with it.  I just got married and I've created an account
for my wife.  Under her account, strange things happen ...

Judging from the other questions and comments I've read here, this question
may be too stupid to post here.
For some time now, the bottom bar of my Internet Explorer is usually missing
(except this one time, for this pop-up, ironically.)

Many questions and answers on the subject but I still have problems :
Javascript works perfectly with Mozilla Firefox (installed because Javascript
does not work anymore after installation of SP2) and not within Internet
Explorer 6 SP2.  Therefore it seems that Engine is OK and ...

When I click on a particular link, I receive "page cannot be displayed".  
In the address bar is:

I can reach the link, successfully with Firefox ...

After login IE opens very  slow 3-5 minutes. Ie Windows close slow also.
There seems to a lag between click and closing.
Sometimes IE freezes totally.
I've scanned the cpu  viruses and malware and it is clean. I'm running XP

We are in the process of converting from 3 users to 1 user, which
means each family member will not have their own custom IE6 setup.
Can I install 3 full versions of IE6 in different directories, and

I get an uninstall error message (uninstall won't complete) or nothing at all
happens when I click on Repair IE6 using the uninstall/repair facility in
Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
Is there some other way to reinstall IE6?

Hi. When I try to open any new page, it takes forever for IE 6 to look up a
domain name. Eventually it resolves it, and I can surf fast within a
particular domain. But when I want to switch to another one - its slow again.
Example: 1st: www.google.com - slow

I'm using advanced ie as I can't use ie6. The browser will load and try to
connect but times out with the "page not found" error. This is while trying
to load the homepage (wanadoo) which is not a secure site?

When I click on help to check my version it says;
"6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519" Below that it says;
"Product ID:76487-OEM-0080785-87099" and;
"Update versions:; SP2;"

I opened IE 6 and the File, View, Tools, and Help are missing.  How can I
restore these.
