I disabled in "options->security->internet->Scripting of Java Applets" and also in "options->advanced->Use Java 2...<applet> (requires restart)". Then I restarted my PC, went to yahoo games and was able to open applets. Gee, that's strange...

I have a machine that is running XP sp2 and IE 6.0.2900 My problem is that everytime a user tries to create a bookmark IE crashes. This is not user specific. I have only bare essential third party programs running on this machine.

Hi I am unable to gain access to both amazon.com & paypal.com, ie6 displays "the page cannot be displayed". I recently installed norton internet security and have tried configuring it to allow these sites but to no avail. I have even unistalled norton but stil no luck! Any ideas ...

OK, new version of WindowsUpdate. Same problem as with OfficeUpdate. It says that it cannot install the ActiveX and asks me to allow this in the "Internet Explorer Information Bar", but that is not showing. Further "*.microsoft.com" is in the "Trusted Zone" and all ActiveX

My content Advisor keeps resetting to the most restrictive settings each time IE6 is launched. As result I have to reset the settings everytime IE6 is launched. I have run Norton AntiVirus and a spyware app. with no negative results.
