I'm currently having a problem with IE, both from the desktop shortcut and from the start menu link. Currently I'm accessing this site through a workaround out of Outlook Express. (I'm running IE6 on a WinXP Home Edition with the SP2 updates)

I have a customer with a new machine he purchased from me about 4 weeks ago that has come back to me for help. He has 2 strange symptoms. This is Windows XP Home with all applicable patches, up to date antivirus, (AVG) that runs clean.

I have set my PC (XP, IE6) so that it asks me each time before loading cookies. My question is, when I have said that I don't want any cookies from a particular site, how can I undo this later? Is there a list of "banned sites" somewhere that I can modify?

I remember a long time ago, I saw some description on how to create shortcut keywords for IE. E.g. typing "goo" in the address bar would expands to http://www.google.com. If this is still possible, please point me to the instructions. Thanks.

My father-in-law is getting a C++ runtime error on iexplorer.exe and wants to look at reinstalling IE. All I can find is the 500k byte file to download and then it launches IE to get the download. But he gets the C++ error after opening IE and can not get
