I have been reading Frank Saunders post on how to use a free download of
Ad-Aware properly and it looks like I've been using it improperly!
Can I check a couple of things with Frank, or anyone who sees my post?

Every time I open a new browser I have to rearrange again to my liking my added toolbars
(Google, eBay,etc.) Locking doesn't help. Any suggestions?

I have Windows XP (Service Pack 2) and have IE 6.0.2900.2180.  Some time ago
I had all sorts of spyware problems and I switched to Firefox and downloaded
several spyware programs.  I  primarily use firefox as my browser but

Can anybody explain why you cannot use view source for this web page? I mean
right clicking page and then selecting view source.
I suggest that you define this site as restricted web site before clicking
the link. I'm not sure if this site has any spyware or not!

Until today I could have as many browser windows open at one time as I liked,
now this is impossible.
Everytime I open one browser window and then click the IE icon the new
window replaces my first window . End result...only one window and any
IE 6.0 SP1  Shows "In Progress" on Windows Update17 Sep 2005 10:38 GMT1
I am running Windows ME and for some reason the IE 6.0 SP1 will not say  
successfully installed, instead it will say "In Progress". What can I do to
complete the installation? I have tried repairing and re-installing internet
explorer 6.0 SP1 but this does'nt work. What next?

The Address Bar for my IE6 is disable (I'm using WinXp), meaning I am unable
to input any url into the address bar.  However, the same does not apply to
the other users on my computers. I am not sure how it was disable, however is
there somewhere I can enable back the address bar ...

Until recently, I was able to load and run Java applets in both IE and
Firefox. Now applets run fine in firefox, but not in IE6. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled Java 1.5.0_04-b05, but it made no difference.
I have Windows XP Pro SP2 with all patches.

I would like to start up a computer and have it bring up IE automatically at
a specified URL.  Once at that URL I want to prevent the user from using this
PC to surf the internet.  Does anyone know how to do this?  How does one

Our grandson downloaded and wants to install Firefox on our machine.  He uses
our computer more than we do and he said he could use the Firefox and we
could still use our IE6. We do not know if we should let him. Would anyone
have an answer or suggestions. Will each one work ...

I just upgraded to XP SP2. When browsing using IE6, I can get into the
Hotmail site but once inside, everything freezes and i can't open anything
including my inbox. Would appreciate any suggestions? Thanks
