I have a stange problem. I can connect to the internet under safe mode

When I run IE some sites can't be accessed i.e. microsoft, continetal
airlines. I can't activate XP nor can I run updates. However other sites run

Hey---I can't be the only one?
Somewhere my internet explorer got corrupted,deleted or who know what.
Its limping along with error error errors. I downloaded Firefox and all
web-surfing works wonderful.

I am unable to repair IE, I get the error message: "Internet
