When I click internet eplorer it starts to connect then doesn't.So I go to
click the x in upper right corner and a window pops up saying internet
explorer not responding.Why is this happening.I have windows xp home edition

 I use IE 6 in my machine. When i download any files from internet, it
automatically saves the file to temporary folder. It does n't ask me where i
want to save. Can you please tell me how i should change the configuration,
so that Internet Explorer asks me the save location ...

All of a sudden using IE6 the address bar search does not work.   Any ideas.
It was just working fine..

I'm running on XP and everytime I try to open explorer I receive "The page
cannot be displayed".  I am able to surf the web with Mozilla Firefox without
issue, however, I have many programs that only run through ie, so I need help!

I'm not sure if the problem is related to XP or IE but I thought I'd

This might sound very wierd, but I'm not having a exactly friendly
experience toying with the new I.E. 7.0 beta, it seems most websites do not
recognize the version and categorizes the browser to "other kinds" instead

This is very strange and only happens on this one site. If someone will
please clarify that using IE 6 they either have the same problem or do not
have the same problem, I would be appreciative. Please go to the following:

I seem to remember a command/switch that set it so if you had IE open, and
clicked on a link, it would open the link in a new IE window instead of
replacing the original url.
I can't seem to find it....

I can't remember how to enable cookies!

I just started to have a very strange problem starting Internet Explorer.
Cliking on shortcut, or on quick lunch icon, or on  Iexplore.exe in program
files/internet explorer, IE window open, but I have only address bar, window
title bar is there, one empty bar below that, then ...

Is there any way that a website can be completely blocked so when someone
tries to go on the site it will not be allowed. Or maybe asks for a password
or something.
Basically im fed up with my kid going on the computer to do 'homework' and

Is there any setting I can apply to a desktop hyperlink to force it to open
that shortcut in a new page in Internet Explorer 6, instead of over an
existing open page?
