Any way to stop word and PDF documents from opening within IE?27 Sep 2005 01:49 GMT2
Is there a way to configure IE 6 so that Word and Adobe Acrobat documents
won't open up directly within a browser window? Currently, the applications
launch within the browser window. I'd like both document types to open
directly into Word or Adobe Acrobat themselves.

Every time I click on a button linking to a pop-up window, within any Web
page, the associated pop-up window comes up but disappears after a few
seconds. I have XP pro fully up to date, media player 10, TrendMicro Internet
security 2005.

While logging on to my BellSouth account via their webmail portal I
inadvertantly asked IE6 not to cache my username/password. Now when I
visit that page it never gives me the option to cache my
username/password.

I had this problem for a little while, I just change the harddisk and
relocate my ram into another plug, but the problem presists.
I just wonder what makes the problem, software setup? hardware?

When i open IE in user account it starts to poen the home page but then stops
responding.  IE works fine for the other user accounts on the same computer.  
Any ideas why?

I just started using IE6 with WinXP.At some internet sites the window is
only 2/3 full on the left with right 1/3 being blank. This never happened
with my prior win98. Also I play a Java-based game on line called Runescape

copy the necessary file form it.
I went into QT options and disassociated .tif files.

I have IE 6 and Firefox installed. How do I set IE as the primary browser so
that IE will load when a browser is called, rather than Firefox.

If I turn the pop up blocker on, then change screens in IE, the the pop up
blocker is automatically turned off.  Does anyone know what would cause this?

hi,  my neighbours hotmail account does not list his incoming mail in date
order. consequently he has a problem finding the latest incoming mail.
i looked under options, but could not find any option to correct this.
any ideas please?

I have a problem with my new computer IE. When I enter any website without
the http:// in front, the page will hang for literally 3-4 minutes before
opening.  When I type the http:// before the site opens right away.  It is
very strange is an annoyance.  I am not sure if anyone ...
