I am using Windows XP SP2 and IE6. Whenever I try to enter an address in the
IE address bar or click on the the arrow at the end of the address bar to
view the previously visited sites, IE shuts down immediately. Help, please.

I've noticed that if I enter www.google.co.uk or similar into the address
bar and press go or hit enter. Internet Explorer 6 sp1 hangs and creates an
error in the application log file stating this. However if I enter
http://www.google.co.uk everything is fine.

Make sure the location/ internet address is correct.

Links that I've already visited either don't change from blue to purple, or that they don't retain the purple, but change back to blue after a day or so. It's annoying to find that I'm frequently revisiting Web sites that I've already visited.
